feeling: hungry

i return.... hello

i've always been horrible with keeping up with journals, but this is turning out to be a bit fun. i like yapping into the void, lmao.

i've been fiddling around with firealpaca. it's honestly a solid program, i just need to get myself used to it (i've been using sai for years now). once i'm comfortable, i'll probably do some more oc art! there are a lot of ocs (even mains) that need updated art (or just art in general). my only issue about doing art now is that i have NO idea how to get the huion driver on manjaro to function properly and register the proper keybinds for my tablet's buttons. Please, sir. I miss my shortcuts.

it's not a huge loss, i guess. i'm just used to hitting my silly little shortcuts all the time. i will adapt. unfortunately. i've gotten rid of windows entirely and have no plans to switch distros at the moment. i am NOT switching back just for some buttons.

it's nice to think about getting back into 2d art, though. i've said it a lot to my partner, but i honestly find the community around 2d artists so much more pleasant than the 3d side. there are pros and cons to both in general, but sometimes i like one over the other. personally, i find 2d harder but more rewarding. with anything, though, i find it hard to stick to something for a long time. thank you, brain worms. i feel as though my art has at the very least become cleaner in the past couple of years. i know the image i have for my oc luther right now is pretty cringe LMAO. i gotta redraw him.
